There are a large number of public, private and volunteer organizations and groups in Loudoun County that have environmental education as one of their goals. These organizations provide a variety of activities in a number of locations around the County. The purpose of the Loudoun Environmental Education Resource Guide (Guide) is to catalog these organizations, their missions, the programs and activities they provide and the facilities they offer. It is hoped that this Guide will be helpful to parents, teachers, civic organizations and businesses whenever they wish to find an organization or a facility that can provide an environmental education program.
Information in this Guide is provided by organizations that participated in the April 2007 Loudoun County Environmental Education Conference. The Guide accomplishes an important goal of the conference to compile information about the participating organizations in a booklet format and to make it available to the public. Updates to this Guide will be provided periodically as additional organizational and program information is received.
